Silver birch.

This silver birch was growing in the chimney (I thought chimney had a B in it but spellchecker says no!) of the old blacksmiths forge! We pulled it out and replanted it and it seems fine. How did it thrive on brickdust and little water?

Crabapple.

Took off sigma lens and used 200 end of the Nikon.

Did this picture , trying out a bit of foam plastic for the clouds! I think the sky works fine and mountains not too bad. It's the foreground that needs darkening and the addition , perhaps, of a ruined cottage?
