- I am retired and 'though able, at last, to do more or less what I wish, I feel I am wasting the few years of life left to me. that is the reason for starting this Blog, so that I might communicate with other humans with perhaps similar interests or perhaps opposing interests. I'm 80 years old but still a child at heart.

Hello A. It's a picture of a farm near us, taken with a zoom lens.
Thanks for commenting. I really like my new camera which, although an entry level digital SLR (Nikon D 40)is almost beyond my capabilities
to fully exploit! Love it though and look forward to taking lots of photos. My brother-in-law was showing me how to take black and whites with it at the weekend.
