- I am retired and 'though able, at last, to do more or less what I wish, I feel I am wasting the few years of life left to me. that is the reason for starting this Blog, so that I might communicate with other humans with perhaps similar interests or perhaps opposing interests. I'm 80 years old but still a child at heart.

The interior to that church is soo beautiful, is it in Hertfordshire.?
It's the same church, in Hatfield.
We met a man who lived in the old school just a few yards down the road. Nice area. The overgrown graveyard is to be trimmed in september!

I was really interested to see the picture of the church and the interior. I have been researching my family history which is connected with Herefordshire. As a child I used to stay with my Aunt Mees in the summer holidays who had rooms in the farmhouse on the farm opposite the church. (Owned by the Bishops.)We always attended services at the church. The School house just down the road was occupied by the Bufftons who as far as I can remember had 18 children. Some of the siblings worked on the farm.
